For me, this time of year makes my comfort food yearnings kick in. Savory stews, slow-roasted platters and earthy, satisfying vegetarian treats like stuffed mushrooms.
I find myself wanting to change up my table as well. I love treating my family to comforting, richly-textured tableware that's a reflection of the season. Of course, my secret trick is to splurge on a few choice pieces of dinnerware then do a mix and match - finished off with some herbs and other garden table top finishes.
